In accordance with Sections 15.2-2506 and 22.1-93 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, the Lancaster County Board of Supervisors shall conduct a public hearing on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., in the Board Meeting Room in the County Administration Building at 8311 Mary Ball Road, Lancaster, Virginia to receive public comments on the Proposed Fiscal Year 2026-27 (FY27) School Budget. The synopsis of the proposed FY27 School Budget that was approved by the Lancaster County School Board is available for download below (PDF format).
In accordance with the aforementioned Virginia Code sections, the Board of Supervisors shall wait at least seven (7) days following the public hearing before it may consider adoption of the proposed school budget with or without modification. In no case shall this school budget synopsis or its approval be deemed an appropriation. Actual allocation of funds shall be made by appropriation by the Board of Supervisors.
Application for Special Exception by Cormac Timothy Connor and Anupama Chaturvedi Connor, 7109 Georgia Street, Chevy Chase, MD 20815, to operate an unhosted short-term rental as required by Article 29 of the Lancaster County Zoning Ordinance. This property is zoned R-1, Residential, General, and is located at 180 Edgewater Lane, Lancaster, VA 22503 (Tax Map# 5-43F) in District 1.
Application for Special Exception by Stay The Course, LLC to operate a restaurant as part of a commercial marina as required by Article 9-1-14 of the Lancaster County Zoning Ordinance. This 6.2-acre parcel (Tax Map 35-225) is zoned M-1, Industrial, Limited and is located at 459 Harpers Creek Drive off of Windmill Point Road (VSH 695) in District 3.
The Board of Supervisors regularly scheduled public meeting is usually held on the last Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. The meetings are held in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room at the Lancaster County Administration Building, 8311 Mary Ball Road, Lancaster, Virginia.

Instructions for Making Public Comment
Electronic Participation Meetings are conducted in a Zoom webinar format in which the board members and certain members of County staff ("panelists") may be visible on camera and will be able to speak, while the press corps and members of the general public ("attendees") will be placed in a "view-only/listen-only" participation mode.
When applicable (depending on the type of meeting being conducted), members of the public who wish to state their comments or questions must ask to be recognized by clicking the "Raise Hand" button near the bottom of the Zoom interface window. Telephone callers will be able to raise their hands by pressing *9 on their telephone keypad. Upon being unmuted, citizens should provide their name and district in which they reside and then state their question or comment.
There is a three minute time limit on public comments. Inappropriate or offensive comments or language will result in immediate dismissal from the meeting.
