Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Waste Collection Day

Lancaster County sets aside two days each year for the collection of household hazardous wastes and electronics waste. The most recent event was held on Saturday June 8, 2019 in the parking lot at the Lancaster Courthouse. Lancaster County citizens disposed of 14,533 pounds of household hazardous waste and 6,377 pounds of electronics waste. The next collection day is TBD, but most likely in September/October 2019 timeframe.

County-Wide Clean Up Day

The Lancaster Board of Supervisors proclaimed Saturday, April 27, 2019 to be "County-Wide Clean Up Day" and encouraged Lancaster County citizens and civic groups to pick up litter along county roads. Two hundred and fifty bags of litter were collected and properly disposed of. We recognize the participants and chronicle the day's events in the following photos:
